This
is the Pins pages, for people who like pins. Personally, I only use a pin when I
wish to make a fashion accessory statement on a day when weather demands the use
of heavier than average clothing. I live in a cold climate, so I could use a
good pin six or seven months out of the total of twelve, but don't let my
personal habits inhibit you. A well selected pin at the apex of the temperature
year could easily make your day as well as your outfit, depending on quality,
suaveness, and positioning. Of course, how a pin is used is strictly up to the
pin owner, so your customers should pursue their own desires. I have found that
a pin can sometimes become a permanent part of the coat to which it's attached,
making the coat better than it was when it was purchased, and happier while it's
in the closet, awaiting the next use. We should all be that lucky.
But, favorite pins end up in a person's wardrobe de jour, and the pin becomes
the star. I think that's the reason why we have them. |
These pins have a surgical steel backing,
with a safety closure, something I do not make. I get them from a safety closure
salesman who calls on me from time to time. He's a very nice young gentleman. The hardware is attached with an
adhesive similar to double sided tape, and the final product has been able to
withstand every torture test I have given it, so unless you do extremely hot
work, like spreading fresh asphalt on inner city streets in July, there should
be no problems with dependability. None of the pins are made with transparent glass foundations, because the adhesive and hardware are rather unsightly when viewed
through from
the front with the transparent colors. It's black or blue opaque glass for these pieces. Below is a picture of the pinback in action,
front and rear views. Pick which is which, if you like.
Take a look at these pins and see if they
meet your customers' needs. Keep in mind that these are made in random shapes,
and colors can vary according to what I have in my glass library at the time I
find myself in a pin mood. Each is different in actual measurement, but all are
within a range of length and width. My measurements are the taken from the
furthest opposite points. All contain the hardware described above and no other
metals. Prices are retail.
