A Few Photos at the Proctor Area Historical Society in Minnesota

Traveling east on the High Line, US Rt.2, the sight of this monster from the age of steam caught my eye.
This is a Yellowstone, an articulated steam locomotive from the 1920s, used in hauling iron ore from area mines.
The following link will bring you to an informative page on this machine: Yellowstone 2-8-8-4

From any angle, this machine is impressive.

The folks at Proctor have done of masterful job of mounting an F-101B Voodoo on the Historical Society grounds.
The big fighter is displayed in the color scheme of Minnesota's 179th FIS, a unit that operated the type at Duluth from 1972-1976.
